Lens 2 – The Parent

 

When we yell at our children or our children are yelling at us, when we aren’t listening, and disrespect either the parent or child, it leads to irritability, anger, and in some cases, long-term resentment. Conscious Parenting and Family Coaching is about moving past those obstacles and fostering a household in which everyone feels loved, valued, and understood: the foundation of connection.

 

Parenthood is a lifetime commitment. Regardless of whether our children are 7 or 65, our role as parents is to interact with our children in ways in which everyone’s sense of self-worth is preserved. This means embracing uncomfortable conversations rather than avoiding them. It is all about communicating honestly and connecting with our loved ones in positive and endearing social ways.

 

This is coaching for parents and family that desire to move beyond the power struggle and co-exist in harmony, mutual respect, and deepen their love for their children and each other. This coaching approach is based on parenting with presence and guides the parent through personal transformation for self-empowerment and that of their family.

I will meet to devise a personalized plan that fits just right for you and your family.

 

Together, we will foster an environment where you and your loved ones will freely give and receive without judgment to derive nourishment from the relationships that matter most.

Family Well-Being

 

I differentiate between the terms Wellness and Well-Being. While Wellness addresses physical health and fitness alone, Well-Being focuses on shifting the attention inward — in a loving way — to be aware of and heal issues affecting our Emotional, Mental, Spiritual, Social, and Physical well-being; in other words, our whole selves.

 

When any one of these parts of ourselves is off-balance it affects the family unit.  Options under Family Well-Being can be taken in addition to or independently of Parent and Family Coaching.

Meditation

 

Learn to meditate, set up a meditation practice, or deepen an existing practice through mediation coaching or classes—can be taken individually or with family members.
